Where have we been?

I knew a naked baby would get some attention. This is her new favorite thing to do. She runs around naked, has to put her pink boots on and usually pees. It's a good time. Anyway... I know, I know. What the heck?!?!?! It's been two months! Obviously I am slacking in the blog department. So, I will try to catch up with this long blog. Apprently, April and May are going to be our really busy months. We did very well, although this is the first time I've actually seen Simon get tired in a long time. But, it was very rewarding and we still love the fact that we own our own clinic. Needless to say, Deerfield and the surrounding areas are very happy that we are here. We had our open house in April and it was a huge success. Libby flew in from Colorado to help and we had three great volunteers, come crazy friends of ours named Ann, Deb, and Jeanette. Between Ruth, Rick, Jodi, Ann, Deb, Jeanette, Simon and I, we gave tours from 10am to 3:30pm never stopping. Laynie and Rufus made quite a few new friends (althought Rufus' only liked his new friends because they were giving him food [ThanksDeb]). We had a couple of people from Wadleigh Falls who were happy to know where we had gone, but most were new people looking for a vet they like. We had a lot of fun with the day and had some great leftovers from the Lazy Lion, a local restaurant that helped cater it. The next weekend, Laynie and I went to Colorado for Kristen's baby shower. We had a whirlwind visit and got to see some of the old gang from Countryside Vet Clinic. It was great to see Dr. Friedly, Ione and Ginette again. We also got to see the Bamps, Uncle Zak, Aunt Robben, and Oma Eleanor. Laynie was on her best behavior. Everyone at the shower thought I was a great mother and complemented me on my well-behaved daughter (Boy, did we have them fooled). It was a great visit and we are so happy we got to go. The other big news was that Simon went to Orlando for a big Ultrasound convention. He was in class from 8am to 9pm most days. He learned a lot. So much, in fact, that apparently we need a new ultrasound machine. I told him he'll have to do with this one for a few years and then we'll see. But, he is really using his knowledge to better treat our patients. It was a great learning experience and he would like to go back next year to take the surgery course. Right before he left, Libby, Ruth and I took some classes at the scrapbooking convention in Manchester. A great time was had by all and we spent way too much money. But, when I got home and started looking for my flash drive to print out pictures to start scrapbooking them, it is no where to be found. So, this is a plea for help. Anyone who has pictures of Laynie, please send them this way so I can have some pictures from the first year of her life. PLEASE!! Thank you in advance for your help. I will try to write another blog tomorrow about my birthday if I get a chance. But, until then, I hope you enjoy the pictures and the most recent update.

She loves her Uncle Zak!!!

And her Aunt Robben

This is the same high chair her daddy used to eat in.

You may notice Brigitte in the background of this video. She came from Oregon to visit. It was great to see her again. She's very happy studying all sorts of nasty diseases. And she's got a boyfirend who makes her happy. WOO HOO!!! Way to go Brigitte!
