Laynie's Many Costumes

OK, so who says Halloween is just one day?!?! Well, I suppose everyone does, but this family celebrates for a week! Thanks to Mimzy, Grandma, and Mom, Laynie managed to have an array of costumes. Above is her Japanese outfit that Mimzy got in Disney World last year.

Here's Captain Hook (bought at the Deerfield Yard Sale Day)

Obviously, Elayna would have to wear something pink. Here is her fairy costume (thanks to Mimzy again)

This flower costume is the one Laynie herself picked out and Mom bought. She liked it because it had a lady bug on it!

Here was the final costume, a goat of course. Mimzy found the pattern and her and Grandma put it together. It was perfect for a cold night of trick-or-treating. And, it's big enough that she should be able to wear it again next year:)

She was obviously having a great time!

Laynie got into the spirit of trick-or-treating pretty quickly. There is a hay ride that takes kids around all the houses here so everyone can enjoy a safe and fun experience! She took the bag her Aunt Devon made for her and jumped on the wagon with Mom and Mimzy. At first she wasn't so sure, but once she figured out that you got free candy from people she was all in! we stayed on the wagon for an hour until Mom got too cold and Dad came and got us. All in all it was a great time and we're looking forward to next year!

Halloween at DVC

As our fall clinic get-together, we carved pumpkins this year. Wow!! We are talented people when it comes to carving. We had a lot of compliments from clients who were very impressed with our skills! Here are some pictures of our talents:)

Here's our little witch! That's my little girl:)

Paging Dr. Elayna George

One of Elayna's favorite things is helping Dad in surgery. Here are some pictures of the little Dr. George assisting in some seious procedures!
Please ingnore the apple. Little Dr. George concentrates best while eating. And she promises not to drop any crackers in a patient!

Fall in New England

We love fall here in New England. The colors are so pretty! Mimzy got quite a few pictures of Laynie taking walks this past fall. We really wanted to share these pictures with everyone. So enjoy!!!

The Fair

This year, as always, we attended the Deerfield Fair. Simon was the veterinarian on call for most of the fairgrounds. Grandma, Grandpa, and I spent a lot of time working at our church's fair booth, which was a lot of fun. The fair always consists of lots of great food. This year I relaized that I have no control over what Laynie eats and so I let her have whatever she wanted. Here are pictures of her enjoying an ice cream that Mimzy got for her.

A Summer Day

We had a little time to ourselves and enjoyed a beautiful summer day. It started with Grandpa's raft. Laynie had a good time while Grandpa did all the rowing (a little unfair if you ask us). Then Mom and Dad got involved. At one point, Dad took the oars from Mom and Mom had to paddle back to shore with her bare hands. Thanks Dad!! Then, Mom, Dad and Laynie got to go hiking. It was a very fun day with lots of sunshine and fresh air!

Pignic

Our friend Ann has a party for her pigs every year. She makes cup cakes and cakes for both her pig family members and her friends who are invited to the festival. It was quite the party. Laynie had a great time visiting the animals. And we thought we might lose Libby when she attempted to ride one of Ann's 1000 lbs. pig. All in all it was a great day and we had a really good time!
