Merry Christmas

OK, well, thanks to my new sister, Robben, we have joined the world of blogging. I will do my best to keep up with this so everyone can keep up-to-date with Laynie and the clinic. I'll try keep pictures on here so everyone can see how cute my daughter is. I really hope everyone's Christmas was as good as ours. We had 10 people total for Christmas (Simon, Jenni, Laynie, Ruth, Rick, Libby, Peter, Zak, Robben, and Eleanor). We have a full house and it's great. Lots of love, lots of food, and lots of fun! We started off the day with Eleanor's homemade cinnamon buns and a breakfast casserole. We opened our stockings and Laynie had a good time playing with the bubble wrap that surrounded a Christmas ornament for her. After breakfast, we gathered in the TV room, sat next to the fire, and opened Christmas presents. Laynie was really spoiled and got lots of toys that make too much noise (although she thinks they're great). After playing with our new toys all day (Libby got a pink laptop), we took a walk in the snow and then went sledding. Robben and I got the longest distance, but Simon and Zak were much more entertaining while they were trying to run each other over. We enjoyed pie and cookies and then put Laynie down for the night. (She slept great!!!) To end the night we played Michigan Rummy (aka Tripoly) and I beat everyone which really ticked off Zak. That was our Christmas. We hope everyone else's was just as good as ours. Who knew that having a crowded house could be so much fun?!?! Now, we'll keep busy cleaning out the barn and staining wood for the clinic. We have plenty of leftovers to eat and more family to enjoy. Hopefully tonight I can kick Zak's butt at Tripoly again. But, thanks to everyone for coming to spend Christmas with us! We love you all!
