January 16, 2008

Well, we've been very busy here in the George household. All of our guests have left. The house seems so empty now. But, Laynie is filling it up quickly. She is learning how to walk and everyday she pushes it a little further (until she falls, of course. Then, she just gets mad and gives up for the night.) She loves the Lion walker that Mimzy got her for Christmas. She walks behind it and keeps hitting it nose (which makes it play about 3 different songs that I now have memorized). Laynie has also decided that she likes to sing. Na Na Na is her favorite song which she sings along with anyone else who is singing, whether we're at church or home or anywhere. She loves music!!! She also dances nonstop to commercials, radio, and all the music her electronic toys play. She's just great to watch! On the other side of our life, the clinic is coming along. We've had a few storms which is pushing back the finish date, but it's getting there. Grandpa has been a staining machine and we're almost ready to start putting polyurthane on all the wood. Business is good. Simon has wowed all of our clients with his patience and understanding. We've had a few big surgeries. We removed an eye on a little dog yesterday. And a few weeks ago he took out 8 bladder stones, the biggest we've ever seen. One was the size of an egg. Both patients are doing fine and recovering well. I guess that's the update for now. I'm including a really cute picture of Elayna (like there is any other kind of picture). Oh, and watch Regis and Kelly because we entered Laynie in the prettiest baby contest they have every year. We think she's a shoe-in.
