Laynie's First Horse Show

Since horse's seem to be her favorite, we took Laynies down to watch the weanling calss at the Morgan horse show at the fairgrounds. She was amazed by the horses! She was so excited she could barely stand it. While you can't hear it in these videos, she can say horsey clear as a bell. And, no, she almost never says Mama (although she can say it, just not to me). I know 4 videos are a lot to take of a girl standing around looking at horses, but she is so cute and gets so excited I had to share them with everyone. Enjoy!

Laynie's Summer Collection

I know it's been another month and I'm obviously not as good at this as my sister, Robben, is. But, I will continue to try to keep it up at least every now and then. This is basically a photo session for our adorable daughter who's beauty cannot be denied. These outfits are part of her summer collection which can be found at Kohl's and Target. Her buyer, Libby George (aka Mimzy) always knows how to pick out the right colors for Laynie to work with. Welcome everyone to the Summer Fashion Show!

Let's begin with swimwear. Laynie is sporting an adorable rainbow and pink swimsuit which is flattering for any figure. The pink cammo net shoes are perfect to protect one's feet from any little creepy crawlers one might encounter in a pond. The pink hat with protective sun shield comes from Australia compliments of Bill Peterman (a man who knows what looks good on the ladies.)

Here is a front view to show how slimming this suit really is!

This outfit is great for a warm summer day out , possibly to run errands. Here you see Laynie looking fantastic (as if she could be anything else) in a lightweight pink top and white skirt. You can see how comfortable Laynie is even though this is her first trip to the dentist. But, who can be scared of a doctor when you look this good.

Here is a head shot of Laynie that she uses to help her get designing and modeling jobs. I mean, who could turn down that award-winning smile (even though she only has 7 teeth).

This lovely ensemble of jeans and a fabulous purple and white top (that has a princess crown on it , no less) is a versatile outfit. It can be worn to casual day at work or if you happen to be walking your pet pig. (Thank you to our pig model, Emily, who really knew how to work the camera.)

What do you mean you didn't know pigs were THE pet to have ? Anyone who's anyone knows that pigs are not just for breakfast anymore. Their intelligence far exceeds that of your common dog (although Laynie recognizes the importance of all 4-legged creatures) and they can be very loving with children. I even think Paris Hilton was looking for a pet pig that could travel around with her, but we'll see if she can find one who won't upstage her. (Deb and Ann, I hope you're happy with that little plug for pig's rights!)

And now for our 4th of July finale! This dress screams Red, White and Blue! Who knew the stars and stripes could look so good. Well, Laynie did, of course. Thanks to Oma Eleanor in Colorado, Laynie showed her spirit for our country's freedom in this fashionable patriotic outfit. Laynie would like to point out her continued support for all things American; she enjoys a good apple pie, she loves the great outdoors of this grand country, and she still support the Buckeye's (Notice the Ohio State chair she's sitting in. We've tried to show her CSU and the Rams, but she continues to believe that The Ohio State University Buckeyes are America's Team. She's very opinionated, you know!)

And what would a 4th of July celebration be without grilling on a new deck. We decided to take a break from the fashion world and enjoy some good steak and salmon on our new grill (Simon's Father's Day present) on our new deck (made of that recycled plastic that looks like wood! It's GREAT!)

And what is a 4th Holiday without a little beer?

More Please!

Here is a rare picture of Mother and Daughter getting along. Lots of laughing and smiling. Just one big happy relaxed family!

Now, that's more like it. Here is a picture of what happens when kids party too hard. They attack their parents.

And things just continue to go down hill from here (this really hurt, by the way. I think I'm still missing a piece of my lip, not that you'd notice). The fashion show has come to a close on this violent note. We will try to keep you up to date on Laynie's Latest and Greatest. Thank you all for viewing her Summer Line and we appreciate your continued support!
